About the event: Hunt and Gather was a one-day outdoor event that focused on site-specific performances by participants. Hunt and Gather produced a scenario based on timeless themes and guide participants to create a new perspective through interpretation.

Provided with the natural and challenging outdoor beauty of Ward’s Island and Coney Island, participants use the elements as a backdrop for performances.

The 2014 theme was Life In Plastic (LIP) and took places on Ward’s Island in Toronto. The 2012 theme was Rabbit Hunt and Singing Mermaids and took place in Coney Island, New York.
